The series is inspired by a social media trend in which women share personal stories while performing daily beauty routines. The works reflect the expanding boundaries of privacy and the late recognition of self-care and mental health issues within Generation X. The female face monotypes are based on enlarged, rasterized photographs of small sculptural forms, where clay structures are transformed into two-dimensional prints.
